Westchester County Addiction Treatment Resources

Get drug addiction or alcoholism treatment in Westchester County, New York.

Westchester County is the most populous county north of New York City. The county has a population of approximately 950 thousand residents. Due to its proximity to New York City, the County has a pretty big economy with numerous Fortune 500 companies headquartered there including MasterCard, PepsiCo, IBM, and Regeneron. Many different immigrant populations reside in the county including French and Japanese communities. Attractions include many historic sites, from Philipse Manor Hall in Yonkers to the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow. Other attractions include the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers and the Tarrytown Music Hall on Main Street. In the summer, Westchester has a milder climate than New York City, sometimes even up to 15 degrees cooler.

Like many other counties in New York and throughout the United States, Westchester County hasn’t been exempt from the drug epidemic. This problem has hit the county extremely hard and unfortunately, overdose rates are continuing to rise.

Due to the nation’s rising drug epidemic, Westchester County has seen an increase in overdose rates. Fentanyl and carfentanil-cut heroin have been a major contribution to these overdose rates, as has a “normalization” of heroin and opioid use. Please take a look at our Westchester County addiction resources to ensure you or a loved one can help put an end to this horrible epidemic.
