Happy Holidays from Maryland Addiction Recovery Center

As Christmas descends upon us, and we plan festive gatherings with family and friends to celebrate the holidays, we wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a happy holiday season from our family here at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. Whether you are celebrating a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, or a Happy Kwanza, we wanted to say we wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!

Dealing with addiction and mental health on a daily basis, as we do, it is not lost on us that the holiday season can often be very difficult for the individuals and families that have been impacted by substance use disorder or mental illness. Whether you are an individual dealing with addiction or mental health issues, someone that is in early recovery from these issues, are a family member with a loved one dealing with these issues, the holidays often can be a trying time, bringing about stress, fear, discomfort, or the unknown.

We want to let you know that we understand and that there is hope. Millions of people around the world are celebrating this holiday season in long-term recovery from addiction, and all of them and their families have dealt with the issues you may be currently dealing with at home. Recovery is possible and recovery is absolutely available. During this holiday season, reach out if you need help, if you need support, or if you need someone to talk to. If you are in need this holiday season, we pray that you reach out for help and find the help that you need. If your loved one is suffering this holiday season, we pray that you reach out to find your own help and support and that you are able to find the love and forgiveness that everyone could use more of during the holiday season. If you are in recovery from addiction, we pray that you continue to take daily action in your recovery and that you reach out your hand to help those still struggling.

The holidays are meant to be a festive time, but that doesn’t always occur when addiction enters the picture. But we hope that everyone finds the love, hope, and healing that they need during this holiday season. If we can be of assistance in any possible way, please reach out to us and we will do whatever we can to help. We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season and a happy new year!
