Colleen Waterfield

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Colleen Waterfield to the new role of Administrative Director at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. A tenured employee, Colleen began working at MARC in April 2015 in direct patient care as a Therapist Assistant (TA.) In her new role as Administrative Director, Colleen will join the MARC management team and be responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of the MARC administrative team, which includes MARC’s Office Manager, Executive Assistant, and Medical Services Coordinator.

“Colleen is one of our longest tenured and dedicated employees, and we are excited to have her move into this new management role for the organization,” said MARC Co-Founder and Corporate Director of Marketing Zach Snitzer. “In almost seven years with the company, Colleen has demonstrated both an incredible commitment and compassion to our patients, an impressive ability to be helpful and supportive of the staff and her co-workers, and an intrinsic leadership quality that makes her the perfect fit for this new position.”

Having worked in several different areas of the organization, Colleen Waterfield’s experience at MARC and her ability to excel in each role has led her to rise to different levels of leadership at MARC. As a new employee in 2015, only a short time after MARC opened the doors as a new organization, Colleen was hired as the very first MARC Therapist Assistant to work in our new addiction treatment offering, the long-term extended care Community Living Treatment program. During her time at MARC, Colleen has also held roles as TA Weekend Supervisor, Alumni Coordinator, and most recently, Medical Services Coordinator.  Prior to her employment at MARC, Colleen worked in the addiction recovery field as the manager of a local Baltimore women’s sober living residence.

“I am extremely honored and excited to take on the role of Administrative Director here at MARC,” stated Colleen. “Being in the administrative field, we strive to make sure that all components of the program with cohesively with one another to ensure that everyone patients who walks through our doors is met with compassion and reassurance that we are here to walk alongside them through their journey of recovery. Throughout my career at MARC, I have always felt privileged to work for a company whose vision aligns not only with my personal views on substance use and mental health, but one that is truly admirable and honest in delivering care for those in need.”

As the new MARC Administrative Director, Colleen Waterfield takes on a supervisory role and will be responsible for the supervision of staff on the MARC administrative team; recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new administrative staff; training administrative team members on policies and procedures of the department and organization; and overseeing the daily workflow of the administrative team. She will also work with the MARC management team to ensure that the administrative staff is effectively and collaboratively working with the rest of the MARC departments in upholding the highest standards of the company to deliver comprehensive, high quality patent care to individuals and families in the MARC treatment continuum.
