Maryland Addiction Recovery Center is excited to announce the addition of Caroline Farrell, LSW, to the MARC family as its new Community Outreach Specialist. Based in the Greater Philadelphia area, Caroline will have a specific focus on the Main Line area outside Philadelphia.

“We are thrilled to have Caroline join the MARC team,” explained MARC Director of Business Development Mallorie Schwartzman. “Her versatility working in both clinical roles and within the business development space make her an incredible fit for our organization. I look forward to working alongside her to support individuals and families seeking long-term care for addiction in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas.”

Her professional experience and clinical background will make her a valuable resource for referents as well as individuals and families in need around Philadelphia and throughout Pennsylvania.”

Caroline received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia, followed by achieving her Master’s in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College. After school, she began her career in the field of behavioral healthcare focusing on clinical work, in working directly as a clinician with patients dealing with mental health and substance use disorder issues. She has worked in a variety of different clinical and organizational settings, including inpatient rehab, outpatient addiction treatment, both partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for mental health and substance abuse, and in the collegiate recovery arena.

After working several years as a clinical professional, Caroline shifted her focus to the area of business development, in hopes of continuing her journey of helping others suffering from the disease of addiction. In business development roles, she has been able to be a trusted resource for individuals and families in crisis and seeking care, as well as a value partner for other clinical professionals in need of finding resources or treatment placement for a client. Her clinical expertise, personal experience as a person in long-term recovery, and passion for the highest quality of patient care allow her to help those in need find the appropriate clinical resources to meet their needs and guide them towards recovery.

In addition to her clinical and business development work in the field of behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment, Caroline is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and has completed training for yoga in trauma and addiction. She teaches a weekly class for individuals in recovery for a non-profit located in Narbeth, Pennsylvania. Caroline believes tending to the mind, body, and spirit are all vital parts of sustainable recovery.

“Caroline’s professional experience and clinical background will make her a valuable resource for both MARC as an organization, as well as the behavioral healthcare professionals, individuals, and families seeking substance use disorder care,” said MARC Co-Founder and Corporate Director of Marketing Zach Snitzer. “An outreach representative has to be more than a representative of the organization they work for, but rather an informed and skilled professional able to guide those in need to appropriate behavioral health resources. Caroline represents those qualities to the highest standards, and we are happy to have her join the MARC team.”
