Here to Help through the Coronvavirus Health Crisis

We understand that our current public health crisis of COVID-19 is impacting our way of life. It is causing fear, panic, discomfort, and anxiety. Things are moving at a rapid pace, information is changing by the day if not by the hour, and we as a society and as local communities are doing our best to catch up, prepare, react, and adjust.

We also know, as an addiction treatment provider, that addiction and substance use disorder still impacts us the same as it did before we began facing this global health pandemic, and that the work we do as a rehab and as a provider of addiction and mental health treatment cannot stop, because people and families are still suffering. So, we wanted to take a moment to tell you that we remain open, ready, able, and willing to help those in need impacted by addiction as we also face COVID-19 and walk through this together.

Our admissions staff is here to take your calls, set up admissions, or make proper referrals to appropriate levels of care if we are not the right fit for you or a loved one at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. Our clinical staff is here, offering evidence-based treatment to our patients and support for their families. Our medical staff is here, offering all necessary psychiatric and medical support. Our Support Services team is here to aid patients as they begin their journey of recovery.

Obviously, the health and safety of both our patients and staff at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center is ALWAYS our highest priority. Due to the ever-changing and unpredictable nature of the coronavirus, we have taken additional health and safety precautions dictated by the CDC in terms of keeping our employees, our current patients, and any incoming patients healthy and safe during this time.  This includes increased screening tools both pre-admission, at admission, and throughout a patient’s stay, ongoing daily testing of staff and patient vitals, having protocols in place for anyone that may become ill, coordinating with our local health departments and community healthcare providers, and restricting access to anyone outside of our community. All available measures are being taken and technology options implemented in order to keep our staff and current patient population safe, while continuing to offer the life-saving treatment they need to overcome addiction.

However, in this time of need, we will make sure that we are here if you or a loved one needs treatment. And we will be here to help, if we can, our colleagues, referring professionals, and community organizations, if there is anything that we can do above and beyond our typical services.

During this time of need, we are often gripped by fear of the unknown. Let us work together, as a community, to be helpful however we can. As an organization, Maryland Addiction Recovery Center stays ready, willing, and able to offer help and healing in whatever way we can, whether for our current patients, their families, our local community, or anyone else in need. We will get through this together.
