Will Lawalt is an Admissions Specialist at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. An alumnus of MARC’s extended care program, Will brings a perspective and personalized approach to helping parents, family members, and potential patients understand the value and benefits of treatment when calling into admissions. He’s an experienced behavioral healthcare professional; he entered the field after finding recovery and has supported individuals and family members through dealing with addiction and mental health challenges in multiple roles in a treatment setting.
Will is a peer recovery specialist, receiving his recovery coach certification through CCAR (the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery), the global leader in Recovery Coach education. He entered the field working in residential treatment, where he was in direct patient care as a residential aid, then moved on to a role working in the local high schools as a coach and peer, supporting adolescent students and their families when issues arose around mental health and substance use disorders. As an alumnus of MARC, he brings a unique blend of professional experience and personal insight, allowing for a deeper level of connection and understanding with patients and their families. Will’s approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a strong commitment to helping others achieve lasting, meaningful change.
