MARC Celebrates Open House, June 3, 2015 On June 3, 2015 Maryland Addiction Recovery Center welcomed friends, family, colleagues in the mental health and addiction treatment field, community organizations, and local foundations in celebrating the opening of our brand new 9,000 square foot clinical campus space. Over 200 people attended, including representatives from Caron Treatment Centers, Father Martin’s Ashley, Elements Behavioral Health, Mirmont Treatment Center, The Retreat, Lakeview, Beachway Therapy Center, Timberline Knolls, Sovereign Behavioral Health, Baltimore’s Jewish Community Services, NCADD-MD, the Nikki Perlow Foundation, and the Brendan James Huber Foundation. Maryland Addiction Recovery Center has entered into a partnership with Caron Treatment Centers and Jewish Community Services of Baltimore to create a Jewish Recovery Network for the local area. The first event of this partnership, held on Thursday, December 11th at the Baltimore Jewish Community Center, was a professionals event titled “Breaking the Stigma: Addiction Treatment and Recovery in the Jewish Community” and featured talks by Sam Bierman, Executive Director of MARC, Ike Dweck, founder of Brooklyn IOP program SAFE, Rabbi Lipkser of Caron Treatment Centers and Rabbi Goldberger of Baltimore.

Maryland Addiction Recovery Center was proud to be a partner organization for this fine event to aid in raising money for young adults in need of addiction treatment, breaking the stigma of addiction and creating a stronger recovery community for Baltimore, MD.
Maryland Addiction Recovery Center Open House, March 21st 2014
On Friday, March 21st, 2014 Maryland Addiction Recovery Center held a successful open house to the local community to introduce them to the innovative brand of comprehensive addiction services offered at MARC. The White House sent Deputy Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) David Mineta to address the attendees and additional remarks were made by MARC Executive Director Sam Bierman. The event was attended by over 100 people, including local addiction treatment professionals, therapists, politicians, community leaders, business owners, family, and friends.
Maryland Addiction Recovery Center, a new comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment center located in Towson, is the creation of three close friends — all in recovery from substance abuse — who had a vision to bring an innovative style of addiction treatment to the Baltimore area. This innovative, comprehensive approach to treatment focuses on long-term, sustainable patient outcomes in recovery through a coordinated continuum of care services.

The episode focused on drug addiction and drug treatment and the services MARC is bringing to help drug addiction and treatment in the Baltimore County area and throughout the state of Maryland. The first airing took place on Sunday morning, January 12 on local Fox45 in Baltimore County, with additional airings on both Fox45 & the CW in Baltimore County over the next few weeks.
